Default Where to farm for dye?

I want to know an easy and good area to farm for dyes and i'd like to know if the color depends on the mobs or area.

Thanks in advance.

Well, you can't farm dyes persay, they drop randomly. So you are just as likely to get a dye of playing through a campaign as much as you are farming for them. Your best bet is probably finding a farm that kinds as many things as possible in the least amount of time, not matter what monsters you farm, although I'm not entirely sure you'd get much better results...

Dye drops are totally random- the weakest monsters have the same chance to drop them as hi-lvl ones.
The best areas to farm them would be pre-searing or noob isles, that way you can kill large mobs quickly.
The max-party is 2, so the loot-scaling shouldn't be as bad as in 8-man areas, meaning a lvl3 monster should actually have a BETTER chance at dropping something than a lvl24. Hopefully.

Colors have nothing to do with location or monster type.

^^ My answer is pretty much the same as above. There really aren't any monsters whose common lewt is dye. Monsters drop dye randomly, I've acquired a black dye from a newbie monster in Istan when I made my Dervish. Anyways, this weekend is like triple dye drop rate so GL.

WRONG on scaling

dyes are exempt from scaling nyway.

i will be hitting the only area in the game that as given me 2 triples and 9 doubles with the best being black/silver and the next best silver/silver

i also got a black on a level 1 presear i had just created at 19 minutes from a scale tad so go figure

I plan on heading back to ascalon and running around in those early areas, collecting some charr carvings for next xmas and probably a whole lotta dyes.

I've read that the reason that dye drops more in pre-searing is because the number of possible drops is much smaller, so dyes have a better chance of dropping.

I assume that that would hold true to some degree for low level areas too.

Maybe Ruins of Surmania. Use a running skill and solo the charr at the end of the mission. There you have a lot of low lvl monsters.

For all events with special drops (Easter, St. Patrick's), I farm the Charr at the beginning of the Nolani Academy mission.

If you didn't know, you can pull the lever, which sends in a good amount of Charr.

I reccomend trapping/barraging them if you're a ranger, killing them the way you do mountain trolls if you're a warrior, and well, any other way you can think of. Chances are if you are into the idea of farming, you must be lvl 20 and more than capable of taking on the Charr.

thanks

So the best areas to farm for dye are areas with lots of monsters that can be killed fast. Already farmed in shing jea outside of ran masu gardens and got 2 blacks and lots of orange. That mission with lots of charr looks good, I'll give it a try.

Are these Prof or Night locations? What about factions locations?
